Of course we are - just that this year is the start of the Uni's 600th anniversary celebrations (lasting 4 academic years) so to celebrate, and cos I noticed the 600 O09 thing, we might go with that. If you think of the T-Shirts worn by volunteers etc, they always say orientation <<year>> on them. I...

Orientation '09 (O09 - funky cos if you turn it upside down, it says 600 - and it's the 600th anniversary) - has a 'schmod' sized gap waiting to be filled mate. In fact, offer open to all Ents who have already graduated - come back for this year's Freshers Week - would be great to see those of you w...

I still have a box of bits that you and I collated Schmod, from when you opened it up to perform the operation. Oh, and those extra 4 'lights' would be better known as the 'non-moving-techs'. They really aren't going anywhere! (That paint has caused a lot of superficial damage - the real issue is th...

Going to be honest - I've already tried to persuade McNoodles to take those movietechs off of us in exchange for something new and shiney (or even old but better) and he wasn't really having any of it. Worth another try perhaps....

What format will the minutes be posted in here? A full set of the minutes as we had under phil's reign of terror or just a simple crew list? Full minutes should be sent round as per the way I sent them, and Alison before me. The forum should have a simple copy of the minutes (i.e. Copy, Paste, Subm...

Anyone actually crewing an event is entitled to be on stage at any point. It is sometimes good to have a couple of spare people floating around just in case - maybe tidying stage/cupboard/repairing kit. For the final bop, any graduating Ent is most welcome, and indeed anyone who's contributed during...

Explanation to Thread

This messageboard should be used to post the text only of minutes from meetings. By rights they should be available to all students, so this is the best current place to put them until our new website is ready. If each set of minutes could please be posted as a new thread, then that would be easiest...

Not actually sure I think it should the place of Ents/Union to buy a drum kit in this instance. I know the Musfund one gets a lot of usage by all kinds of groups but I don't think there is need to have two just yet. Maybe if someone on Musfund (eg, the resources person), were to inventorise the kit ...

I'm working on this with stacy. It's something I've wanted to do for a while, we just need a little more kit in order to do it properly - and as a result, we need more storage/work space so that things don't get broken so easily.

Hopefully, watch this space....

Do not use the scrollers - all lighting must be from above only. Any shadows on the ring or areas where light may get in the competitors eyes could lead to the judges pulling the fights.

For ambient lighting, use the houselights and only the scrollers if there is no fight taking place.
