my suggestion was to put some fresnels on the downstage bar to fill the back of the stage, this would also allow you to light up either up stage or downstage seperately.Jan wrote:Hey just looking at your lighting plan and just a few comments:
Do you have a thrust stage if not then it might be better to place your 1k Fresnels on lx2 as this will give you s better coverage of the stage. Also space on lx1 for all the lights.

Well, Andrew tells me there will be space for all the lights. Power will have to be taken from some of the other bars, but it should be alright. We won't be having a thrust stage, so I'll have a think about that.Jan wrote:Do you have a thrust stage if not then it might be better to place your 1k Fresnels on lx2 as this will give you s better coverage of the stage. Hm, well, I think the thought behind that was that we aren't particularly planning on using the back of the stage, so don't want to put too much emphasis on it with the lights.niall wrote:my suggestion was to put some fresnels on the downstage bar to fill the back of the stage, this would also allow you to light up either up stage or downstage seperately.

Just got an e-mail from Kris, it looks like derig for this event should be quite straightforward. He wants all the lights left up, and as discussed at the meeting the other day, we're to leave the sound setup too!
EDIT instead of posting loads more posts in a row:
version 4 of the lighting plan is at http://www.owenrudge.net/various/ice-v4.pdf - hopefully the last for now.
